Sport Season Introduction
The first Olympic Winter Games, Chamonix 1924, had six sports on the program and 16 events. At the Beijing 2022 Olympics there were 15 winter sports included. The Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games will feature 16 sports with the debut of Ski Mountaineering. Learn more about each sport below.
